Overview
The CSCS Summer School 2026 on Effective High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics was organized by the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) and the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). The course focused on exploiting modern high-performance computing systems, with a particular emphasis on GPU-accelerated computing and practical performance optimization techniques.
During the summer school, I gained hands-on experience with GPU architectures, CUDA programming, memory management, parallel algorithms, and optimization strategies for scientific computing workloads. The course combined lectures with extensive practical sessions on HPC systems, allowing the implementation and benchmarking of parallel programs.
